Professional Reception & Customer Care Skills (Business Studies)
Course Description
This one-year Level 5 Award course will equip learners with a diverse range of skills for the modern office environment. With an emphasis on customer care, it will particularly equip learners for reception duties in a range of environments. It caters for those at entry level or those wishing to upskill and/or change career/return to the workplace. You will develop general office skills and become technically proficient in an administration/office environment.

Learners can pursue further qualifications at Level 6, 7 or 8. A Career Guidance Counsellor is available throughout the year for one-to-one mentoring and to assist with applications to further education facilities.
Work Placement
Learners must find and complete work experience placements in a related area – this will consist of a 2-week block, at a specified period during the academic year. This enables learners to gain valuable experience in the sector and apply their learning in a work environment.

NFQ Level 4 or equivalent when accessing a Level 5 programme.
CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 5 courses for those whose first language is not English

Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.
