Skills to Compete – IT Support Specialist Traineeship – (Traineeship)

The aim of the programme is to provide learners with the skills, knowledge and competency in
installing and maintaining core hardware and operating systems. Learners will acquire the
knowledge and skills needed to install, configure and troubleshoot topologies, protocols and
standards, network implementation and network support.

1- INDUCTION
State the planned outcomes and the conditions attached to attendance on the course; apply good safety, health and hygiene practices; state the basic principle involved in environmental issues and explain the meaning of equal opportunities.

2- CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1101)
Explain the fundamentals of Mobile Devices, Networking, Hardware, Virtualization and Cloud Computing and Hardware and Network Troubleshooting

3-CompTIA A+ Core 2 (220-1102)
Install and configure operating systems. The module also addresses Security, Software Troubleshooting and Operational Procedures.

4- CompTIA Network+ (N10-008)
Manage, maintain, troubleshoot, install and configure basic network infrastructure.

5- IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST PRACTICAL APPLICATION
Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows Operating Systems using various windows Applications. Install and maintain core hardware and operating systems. Install, configure and troubleshoot topologies, protocols and standards and provide network implementation and network support services to the IT Support Sector.

6- NETWORK MAPPING
Create professional diagrams to simplify complex information with updated shapes, collaboration tools and data-linked diagrams.

7- IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST COMMUNICATIONS
Communicate effectively within a team environment.

8- CAREER PLANNING AND JOB SEEKING SKILLS
Plan and achieve realistic work goals

9- IN-COMPANY- It Support Specialist Workplace Competence Schedule
To provide the learners with an opportunity to further develop their skills, knowledge and attitudes in a real work environment allied to their chosen occupation.
