Sound Engineering and Music Technology (Sound Production)
The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work independently and under supervision in a range of sound operations settings and or to progress to further and or higher education and training.
QQI Sound Production – 5M2149
NFQ Level 4 or equivalent when accessing a Level 5 programme.
CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 5 courses for those whose first language is not English
Mature learner entry requirements available via the local ETB pathway

Minimum statutory school leaving age (16+)

On completion of this programme learners will have the skills, knowledge and competencies to work independently and under supervision in a range of sound operations settings and or to progress to further and or higher education and training.
The successful completion of the QQI Level 5 award in Sound Production will enable applicants to work independently and under supervision in a range of sound operations settings in the field of media production.
