The Waterford VTOS is located in Durand’s Court, Parnell Street in the heart of Waterford City.
The Centre has been offering courses to adults under the Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS) since 1994. A range of full-time QQI Level 5 accredited courses are available to adults who are aged 21 years or over and in receipt of eligible Social Welfare payments. Our emphasis is on providing quality education in a friendly, supportive environment enabling our graduates to progress on to employment or to further education.

Childcare support
Childcare assistance is available to VTOS students through the National Childcare Scheme.
Financial Supports
- Participants retain the equivalent of their full Social Welfare Payments and any secondary benefits
- Courses are free of charge
- Creche support is available to eligible participants
Learning Supports
The Waterford VTOS offers a range of learning supports to our students including access to Numeracy and Literacy classes, English Language classes and Career Guidance and Counselling.
