Skills To Compete – Creative Sculpting for Film & TV
The purpose of this course is to enable the learner to acquire sculptural knowledge for working in the Film/TV Industry. This course will teach learners to sculpt an item of a fantasy/sci fi nature to a Film/TV brief – either a standalone sculptural prop for a set or a large creature make-up.
The learner will also gain large scale silicone molding and casting after this course is completed.
Start Date: 12-05-2025 Hours/week: 31 Hrs 15 Mins Duration: 7 weeks
Centres must ensure that learners have the academic ability to successfully complete the program. Junior Certificate or similar. Also good level of English language required.
Age Requirements
Applicants must have reached the statutory school leaving age.
Learning Aptitude
Applicants must be able to show a keen interest in working in the film industry. As part of the selection process a portfolio of interests (props/miniatures/prosthetics make up/sculpting for the relevant Film course is required. Previous work would also be key in the selection process. Applications are welcome into those in existing employment who are seeking to upskill or re-skill into the Film/TV sector.

1- Creative Sculpting for Film & TV

2- First Aid Responder
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills as a certified First Aid Responder
3- Safepass
Work on construction sites without being a danger to themselves or others. *Note Safepass certification is required for entry onto all film sets as they are deemed construction sites.
