Business English QQI Level 4 is delivered as one module from the Major Award in Office Skills Level 4 (4M2070) which aims to enable the learner to develop the relevant knowledge, skills and competence in a broad range of office skills which enable employment, under direct supervision, in a general office, or progression to further education or training.

Education Requirements
No formal education or qualifications are required although applicants may have participated in primary and secondary education. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a standard of knowledge, skill and competence equivalent to NFQ Level 3 when accessing a Level 4 programme.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.

dealing with enquiries from the public

Compose a range of communications for business purposes accurately and concisely, using
appropriate tone and vocabulary, to include letters, memoranda, and electronic communication

Draft a range of documents for business purposes to include notices and agendas, advertisements
or mailshots, and press releases or company related articles

Proof read a range of business documents accurately to include spelling, punctuation, grammar
and syntax, vocabulary, correct usage, tone and register, and style.
