WWETB Community Education Programme are pleased to announce an investment of €788, 739 in community education through the Solas Mitigating Against Educational Disadvantage Fund (MAEDF) .
The Mitigating Against Educational Disadvantage Fund (MAEDF) aims to address educational disadvantage which may be experienced by learners and has a particular focus on supporting the engagement and re-engagement of learners in the community. This will be done through Digital Technologies, Learner Assistance, Reach Out and or Mentoring and Covid 19 exceptional circumstances.
The purpose of the fund is to support community education provision targeted at adult learners, who have the highest level of need. WWETB Community Education Facilitators were delighted to work with community education providers to secure funding. A total investment of €788,739 has been provided to a range of community education providers across Waterford and Wexford.
