A very enjoyable ceremony took place in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dublin last night where staff from Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board were delighted to win Best Use of Educational Technology/ICT Initiative for The Virtual Hospital Room at the Education Awards 2025.

The Virtual Hospital Room was created for the teaching, learning and assessment of Healthcare Skills using a Virtual Reality application.

For the healthcare learner, this technology allows them to learn and practice new skills in a safe environment. They have an opportunity to practice the skill as many times as they want in the training and revision mode.
