Local Training Initiatives are delivered in communities. They are designed for people who are unemployed and/or who are experiencing difficulty in gaining entry to further education or the labour market. The programmes are free to all and offer QQI Accreditation at Levels 3, 4 and 5. WWETB offer a number of Local Training Initiatives across Waterford and Wexford:
Minceiri LTI – This programme offers QQI Level 4 Pathway to Employment Major Award located in Waterford Traveller CDP Deise House Railway Square Waterford City. This is a part-time programme – 20hrs per week and is open to female applicants aged 16 years and over from the Travelling Community.

FAI LTI – This programme offers QQI Level 5 Sports Recreation and Exercise Major Award located in SETU Arena Carriganore Co Waterford. This is a full- time programme – 33hrs 15mins per week and is open to applicants aged 16 years and over. Learners will receive QQI Major Award Level 5 along with ITEC Certificate in Gym-Based Exercise (Gym Instructor award) and FAI Coach Education modules including; PDP1, PDP2, 4v4 and 7v7 workshops, Strength & Conditioning workshop and National D Coaching license
