## Developing Communication Skills – QQI Level 3 (3N0880)

Build your confidence in everyday communication through this practical and supportive QQI Level 3 course. Learn how to improve your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills for use in daily life, work, further education and social situations.

Throughout the course, learners will explore real-life communication tasks such as reading letters, forms, emails and online information; writing notes, messages and personal or formal correspondence; and taking part in conversations, group discussions and phone calls. The course also looks at using technology and social media safely and effectively.

This learner-friendly programme is designed to support adults returning to education or wishing to improve their confidence and independence. Classes are practical, relaxed and focused on real-life situations, helping learners develop skills they can use straight away at home, in the community and in the workplace.

Successful completion of this course leads to a QQI Level 3 Minor Award in Communications (3N0880) and contributes towards the QQI Level 3 Certificate in General Learning.

Education Requirements
No formal education or qualifications are required although applicants may have participated in primary and secondary education. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a standard of knowledge, skill and competence equivalent to NFQ Level 2 when accessing a Level 3 programme.

Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.
