WWETB, in partnership with Get Ireland Walking, is delighted to host two Lowland Leader Open Days in Waterford and Wexford, supporting people who are interested in walking activities, outdoor leadership, and becoming part of growing walking networks within their communities.
The Waterford event is supported by Waterford Sports Partnership, while the Wexford event is supported by Sports Active Wexford.
These open events are designed for anyone interested in:
- Starting their journey in recreational walking activities
- Learning more about the Lowland Leader qualification
- Connecting with local walking communities and outdoor networks
- Exploring opportunities in outdoor leadership and community walking initiatives
- Attendees will have the opportunity to hear directly from previous course participants who have successfully completed the Lowland Leader programme and are now leading walks within their communities
- As part of each Open Day, a guided walk will take place, led by a qualified Lowland Leader who will share their personal experience of the course and the opportunities it has created for them (limited space, booking required)
