Programme Structure
This programme is delivered through 100% face to face and classroom delivery using a virtual learning environment (VLE). If classroom delivery is not possible due to specific circumstances, tutor led online delivery may take place.

Special Purpose Award in Enhancing Productivity with AI 5S22965
The aim of the programme is to demystify GenAI and empower learners to confidently begin integrating tools and technologies into their professional environments. The programme seeks to bridge the gap between the theoretical knowledge of AI and its practical application, enabling learners to critically consider how to harness the potential of GenAI.
Over the course, participants will be introduced to what GenAI is and how it works, together with the foundational skills needed to begin to leverage and interact with GenAI tools responsibly and safely.

This programme has been developed based on consultation with IDA Ireland, ISME, Chambers Ireland, Microsoft, Adapt Centre, and direct consultation with employers on their needs. In order to meet these needs learners must successfully complete the following module for this programme. For minimum award requirements, please refer to the QQI award structure for this award.

Training Facilities
The training facility must comply with:
1. all aspects of Health and Safety and Workplace standards (Safety, Health and Welfare at Work
Act 2005) and
2. all specific validation requirements as set down by the awarding body.

Education Requirements
The programme is positioned at Level 5 on the NFQ. Applicants seeking entry must have achieved a minimum of a NFQ Level 4 Major Award or its equivalent prior to entry to the programme, or have achieved the relevant skills, knowledge, and competence through work experience. Learners within this category are assessed prior to enrolment to ensure they meet the required skills to undertake the programme.

Age Requirements
Applicants must have reached the current statutory school leaving age.

The programme is designed for adult learners in the workplace who seek to understand how they can leverage GenAI skills to boost their productivity and keep up to date with advances in technologies. This programme is ideal for employees across various sectors who want to develop their skills and competences to begin to critically and safely integrate GenAI tools into their daily work habits to save time and enhance their effectiveness.

The programme targets individuals from a broad range of experience and levels in the workplace, from entry-level positions to management roles. It is tailored to meet learners where they are, aligning with their specific roles and responsibilities, and empowering them to make informed decisions to enhance their personal productivity using GenAI. Participants will learn how to critically consider the application of GenAI-enhanced practices within the context of their own roles, responsibly and ethically, and ultimately contribute to the overall productivity of their organisation.


Previous Experience
Applicants who have either successfully completed a programme leading to a Level 4 QQI qualification or can demonstrate the levels of knowledge, skills and competence associated with NFQ Level 4 will be eligible to apply for entry to this programme.
