Congratulations to our Inter-Firms senior hurling team, who were recently presented with their All-Ireland medals following a fantastic championship win. The team secured victory in the All-Ireland final after an outstanding series of performances, showcasing exceptional skill, teamwork and determination throughout the competition.
The medal presentation took place at a special ceremony, where incoming GAA President Derek Kent presented the medals on behalf of the WWETB Board. His presence on the occasion highlighted the significance of the achievement and the pride felt across the organisation.
In his address, Mr Kent commended the players and management for their commitment and dedication, noting the important role that sport plays in fostering teamwork, wellbeing and community within the workplace.

Chief Executive of WWETB, Dr Karina Daly congratulated the team on their win, which was all the more impressive given that it was the first time that WWETB had entered the competition. ‘This achievement is particularly notable because the team is drawn from right across WWETB, with representation from our post‑primary schools, as well as our apprentices and instructors. That level of involvement reflects the strong sense of connection and teamwork across the organisation,’ Dr Daly commented.
We also extend our congratulations to the Inter-Firms football team, who enjoyed great success this season by winning the Divisional title. Their achievement reflects the strength and depth of sporting talent across WWETB.
These successes are a testament not only to the hard work of the players, but also to the continued support of colleagues across the organisation. Representing WWETB at this level and bringing home provincial and All-Ireland titles is an exceptional accomplishment.
Once again, congratulations to all involved in these remarkable achievements.
