Local Training Initiatives are delivered in communities. They are designed for people who are unemployed and/or who are experiencing difficulty in gaining entry to further education or the labour market. The programmes are free to all and offer QQI Accreditation at Levels 3, 4 and 5.
WWETB offer a number of Local Training Initiatives across Waterford and Wexford.
The Connect Programme based in Waterford city, is a call centre/ office skills course that will enable learners to gain a QQI level 5 qualification in Contact Centre Operations or Office Administration. The programme will also give learners the skills to progress to employment or further education.

Mount Congreve offers a QQI level 5 in Horticulture. The one year programme has been designed to prepare students to work in the Horticulture industry. Learners will get hands-on experience in Mount Congreve gardens in Waterford for this course.

SWWFRC offers a QQI level 4 course in Tourism & Business in Ramsgrange, Co. Wexford. Learners will get hands on training, learning about kitchen operations, barista and digital skills.
