Skills to Compete – Pharmacy Sales Assistant

The aim of this programme is to enable the learner to develop the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to work independently under supervision in a Retail Pharmacy.

The successful completion of this programme will enable learners to source employment in the pharmacy retail sector. Here they will apply their knowledge of over-the counter pharmacy products to advise assist and sell to customers across all product ranges in the pharmacy, consulting with the pharmacist as appropriate. They will also engage in stock control activities and adhere to all safety and health regulations. On successful completion of the programme learners may also progress to further education and training.
