The Waterford VTOS programme is located in the FET Centre Durand’s Court, Parnell Street in the heart of Waterford City X91 VO58. The centre has been offering courses to adult learners under the Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS) since 1994. A range of full-time QQI Level 5 accredited courses are available to adults aged 21 years or over and in receipt of an eligible social welfare payments.

Our mission is:

1. To provide accredited education, training and skills in a friendly and supportive learning environment.
2. To enable our learners to progress onto employment and further education and training.
3. To enable learners to set up their own businesses by working with the Waterford Local Enterprise Office to offer “Start Your Own Business” and Social Media workshops.

We offer a range of full-time and part-time courses which are designed to support adult learners in taking the next step in their education journey and to help build the skills and confidence needed to progress to further study or employment.

Whether you wish to develop new skills or upskill; to explore different career paths or do a portfolio course for third level, our programmes will provide learners with the support and accreditation to take the next step with confidence. A range of Learner Supports are provided; including English language; guidance and counselling and job preparation skills.
